Bad Schandau is about 40 kilometers from the Saxon capital Dresden. By car, at the Dresden-West motorway triangle, take the A 17 towards Prague until the Pirna exit. In Pirna, turn right onto the B 172 towards Bad Schandau. In Bad Schandau you stay on the main road towards Schmilka / Hrensko and have reached your destination after a few meters on the right hand side.
Take the national train to Bad Schandau. Use the Elbe ferry from the train station to the city. After a few meters we are directly on the river Elbe.
