Art exhibition at Struppen Castle
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Malerweg, the Schlossverein Struppen e.V. has succeeded in winning the internationally renowned artist Nina K. Jurk for an exhibition project in the castle. Nina K. Jurk comes from Dresden and although she studied and lives in Leipzig, she has always remained very attached to her 'home mountains'. She is one of the main artists in the film "Caspar David Friedrich - Wanderer between the Worlds" by Nicola Graef (2020/2021) for ARTE. "The film tells the story of Caspar David Friedrich's life in Greifswald and Dresden. And it follows the painter Nina Jurk to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains..." This film will also be shown as part of an event.
The artist Nina K. Jurk will be present at the vernissage and the finissage. In addition to the screening of Nicola Graef's film, there will also be a theater evening with CERCA DIO and their performance "EIN STÜCK VOM HIMMEL ODER WENN ICH ERST EWIG BIN Caspar David Friedrich - Maler des Lichts" and an artist talk with Nina K. Jurk.
