“Dear friends, I’m writing from the wilderness—the woods and fields. I’m still close to the city, but I’ve pitched my tent far enough out to lie in wait for the mysterious creature that only appears during a full moon. The stars are aligned, the wind has died down, so it might show itself tonight. All we know so far is that it lives close to people; it’s hard to find because it blends perfectly into its surroundings—the night, to be precise—and is almost black; only the full moon makes it glow and become visible. I hope we get lucky; I’ll check in again. For now, it’s time to wait, stay calm, and—aha, that’s interesting….”
An adventurer sets out in search of this intriguing creature and takes the children along on a journey through nature. Small and larger animals from our surroundings make themselves known and provide important clues. Will the nocturnal animal show itself?

About Marie Bretschneider Puppet Theater:
Marie Bretschneider studied acting at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. As a staff actress, she worked for nearly 5 years at the Neues Theater Halle, where her first self-directed production, “Views of a Clown,” was also a hit on the repertory. In 2012, she became a freelance puppeteer and actress. She has collaborated with, among others, the Handmaids Berlin, Pierre Schäfer, Jochen Menzel, and the Dresden Puppet Theater. She also appears as a guest performer at the Puppentheater Halle. Her productions have been presented at the Hohnstein Puppet Festival, Synergura, the Mistelbach Puppet Theater Days, the Theater Salz und Pfeffer, Theater Marotte, and the FITZ Stuttgart. In 2017, she won the Amberg Children’s Theater Award for her play “Lieschen Radieschen and the Lamb Vulture.” Her productions are characterized by a playful style and an unconventional selection of plays.
