The film screening begins at 6 p.m.
Film Presentation
The documentary profiles six women from three generations, all of whom spent their childhoods during the war and now live in Germany. The eyewitnesses—Leen, Wesam, Alisa, Nermina, Ingrid, and Carola—share life stories marked by severe hardships, life under a state of emergency, death, fear, and uncertainty. The traumas they experienced during the war continue to have an impact to this day. Yet despite all adversity, they have managed to make a fresh start and realize their dreams. And across all three generations, they are united by strong personalities and a fundamentally positive outlook on life, peace, and democracy. This impressive documentary is the theatrical version of a three-part miniseries produced by Saarländischer Rundfunk.
