The romantic cycle tour along the Elbe

• Day 1: Independent arrival in Dresden
  The sights of Dresden's historic Old Town are clustered closely together. The Zwinger, Dresden Royal Palace, Semper Opera House, Church of Our Lady and Historic Green Vault all keep the city's history alive.
  Discover one of the many museums, such as the German Hygiene Museum or the various venues of the Dresden State Art Collections. Round off your visit with a stroll through Neustadt, the city's vibrant cultural district. Overnight stay in Dresden 
• Day 2: Dresden – Bad Schandau (approx. 45 km)
  Leaving Dresden, you cycle past the three Elbe castles and the Blue Wonder bridge to Pillnitz. Magnificent Pillnitz Palace, with its extensive park and formerly the summer residence of the Saxon royal family, is considered Europe's most important chinoiserie palace complex.
  The artistically landscaped park is home to a rare camellia tree that is over 200 years old. Your tour then continues to Pirna. Shortly after leaving the town, you will see the first sandstone cliffs and table mountains that give Saxon Switzerland its unique character. You conclude your tour amid this extraordinary rocky landscape in the spa town of Bad Schandau.

• Day 3: Bad Schandau – Děčin (approx. 25 km)
  Take ample time to explore Bad Schandau today before cycling along the path on the right bank of the Elbe, via Krippen and Schöna, to the Czech border. The town of Děčin lies just beyond the border.
  Here, an almost 300-metre-long path enclosed by a seven-metre-high wall, known as the “Long Ride”, leads you to the castle. Visit the former castle owner's living quarters or stroll through the adjoining rose garden. Overnight stay in Děčin
• Day 4: Děčin – Litoměřice (approx. 50 km)
  On your third stage, you cycle past Velké Březno Castle to Ústí nad Labem. The city is situated amid the picturesque hills of the Central Bohemian Uplands.
  Take a stroll to the ruins of Střekov Castle and enjoy the magnificent view across the Elbe Valley. From Ústí nad Labem, cycle to the town of Litoměřice on the Elbe. Your destination enchants visitors with its harmonious town square, framed by townhouses in various architectural styles, and its many churches of historical interest.

• Day 5: Litoměřice – Mělník (approx. 45 km)
  Shortly after Litoměřice, you pass Terezín, home to the memorial at the former Theresienstadt concentration camp.
  The Ghetto Museum and Jewish cemetery also document the events of this period. Continue towards Mělník, reaching the town of Roudnice approximately halfway through the stage. The Lobkowicz family castle features an attractive garden. Guided tours of the castle are also available during opening hours. As you continue, Mělník Castle is visible from afar. The town is located in Central Bohemia's wine-growing region, at the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe rivers. Numerous small wine taverns can be found around the market square and along the route to the castle.

• Day 6: Mělník – Prague (approx. 55 km)
  From Mělník, follow the gently undulating route along the Vltava (cycle route number 7) towards Prague. In the Troja district, you pass the magnificent Baroque Troja Palace and its beautiful French garden.
  Its interior features unique frescoes and exhibitions from the Prague City Gallery. Continue cycling into the Old Town of the “Golden City on the Vltava”, where numerous cafés and restaurants invite you to linger in the evening. Overnight stay in Prague
