Schloss Prossen
Schloss Prossen is a centuries-old noble residence in the Elbe valley near Bad Schandau.
In 2019, the restoration of the baroque refuge and the conversion into a stylish holiday residence were completed. The house offers ten uniquely designed comfort apartments or suites for 2 to 6 people each. All accommodations have fully equipped kitchens. Our breakfast baskets ensure a relaxed start to the day.
Two authentically restored halls invite you to share. In the low season, we are happy to rent out our entire house for celebrations, meetings, or events.
You will find relaxation in the idyllic castle garden or in the picturesque pavilion with views of the Elbe and the impressive Lilienstein. Alternatively, you can unwind in our in-house sauna landscape in the historic castle vault.
The quiet yet central location of the former manor in the unique natural landscape of the Saxon Switzerland allows for both a relaxed and active vacation: hiking, cycling, horseback riding, paddling, climbing, sightseeing, and culinary highlights can be found in the immediate vicinity.

Leave the A17 motorway from Dresden towards Prague at the Pirna exit. In the city, follow the B172 to Bad Schandau. Here, cross the river and turn immediately after the Elbe bridge to the right onto the S163 towards Hohnstein/Bastei. At the entrance to Rathmannsdorf, pass the Penny supermarket and the ARAL gas station on the left. 300 meters later, a small road leads off to the left towards Prossen. You will reach the village and drive directly towards the castle building after about 1.5 kilometers.
Arrival usually possible from 4 PM. Earlier arrival and luggage storage possible by arrangement.
