Hotel Erbgericht

At the heart of the district Krippen, which is located at the left side of the river Elbe, the historically grown ensemble of the traditional Hotel Erbgericht is dominating the centre of the market place. Since medieval times the founders of the town, the so called hereditary judges were not only assigned the lower jurisdiction, but also the privilege of brewing and serving. Thus very early a harbourage for travelling salesmen was established, which developed into a hotel over the centuries.
