From 17.3.2026 to 31.7.2026, construction work will be carried out in Königstein, during which part of the Elbe cycle path will also be closed. As there is no cycle path on the other side of the Elbe, the signposted detour will run behind the railroad line. Cyclists must dismount here.

The detour follows an old flood path. Cyclists coming from Dresden cross the railroad embankment at the former Vogelsberg guesthouse and turn left. From here, you have to push until the path joins the Elbhäuserweg. Here the railroad embankment is crossed again to the left.
