RATAGS Kunsthandwerk is a good example of how the connection to the homeland and the love of Erzgebirge wood art come together. The company has been continuously developing the beautiful tradition of Erzgebirge wood art since 1987. Visit the RATAGS Kunsthandwerkerhaus and experience a family adventure world on over 20,000 square metres with an animal enclosure, fairytale forest, giant pyramid, playground, Christmas and spring house, craft and toy shop. In the show workshop, you can experience how filigree wooden art from the Erzgebirge is made. RATAGS Kunsthandwerk is located in the district of Sächsische Schweiz/Osterzgebirge, approx. 28 km from the state capital Dresden and is a member of the Association of Erzgebirge Craftsmen and Toy Manufacturers and is authorised to bear the seal Echt Erzgebirge - Holzkunst mit Herz. In addition to production in Saxony, this seal recognises above all the nature of the products and the way they are made.

Our spring house, the show workshop and parts of the Christmas house have a new colour scheme with more space and brighter lighting. The beer garden has been given a partially covered area and expanded to 138 seats. Here, every visitor will find a shady spot, a freshly tapped beer and tasty food. The excursion restaurant "Bauernwirtschaft" with guesthouse offers plenty of space in four lovingly furnished guest rooms: the cosy "Guten Stube", the "Jägerstübel" and the "Rustikale Scheune". You can also book the restaurant with bar in the vaulted cellar for your celebrations. The cuisine emphasises fresh regional products and dishes and has won numerous awards. The guesthouse offers cosy rooms and a large holiday flat for overnight stays.
