The inn is located in the heart of the Hertigswalde neighborhood, about 2,000 meters from Sebnitz’s market square. Hiking trails leading into the beautiful landscape of Saxon Switzerland begin right behind the inn. The inn is one of the oldest still-standing inns in the city and boasts a fascinating history.
The inn specializes in delicious and varied Saxon cuisine, featuring local products.
What serves as a beer garden at Gasthof Hertigswalde in the summer transforms into an atmospherically lit winter terrace with a fire pit, mulled wine, and punch during the colder months. It’s the perfect way to set the mood for a romantic dinner. Starting in January, the highlight of the menu is skrei: a particularly flavorful winter cod, fresh from the Lofoten Islands.
