The concerts are shaped by Thomas Stelzer’s playing style and the unmistakable way in which he blends vocals and emotion. His smoky blues voice gives even cover songs a unique touch. He has written many of the songs himself, drawing inspiration from a variety of influences—from Professor Longhair, Fats Domino, Dr. John, Ray Charles, and Vince Weber to the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Joe Cocker, and Buddy Guy. His musicians are exceptionally skilled at supporting him in a subtle yet effective way. Leading the way is Bernd Kleinow on the harmonica, with Christoph Dehn on drums, Roger Goldberg on bass, and saxophonist Max Ender.
