The Saxonz
World-Class Breakdancing Battle
Founded in 2013, "The Saxonz" are now one of the most successful German breaking crews active on the international scene. They have already won the legendary Battle of the Year three times, securing the unofficial title of German Champion. Through collaborations with institutions such as the Festspielhaus Hellerau, the Semperoper, and the Landesbühnen Sachsen, the group has also made a name for itself outside the breaking scene.
“The Saxonz” have received numerous awards, including the Dresden City Government’s Sponsorship Award. The jury praised the dance crew for achieving success at the national and international levels within just a few years, outside of traditional artistic niches.
By combining breaking, contemporary dance, and other genres, they are injecting new energy into the Saxon dance and breaking scene.
At the Felsenbühne Rathen, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the national park, “The Saxonz” will face off against the dance company of the Landesbühnen Sachsen and other teams in their “Out of the Box” battle.
