Special guided tour "A colonel and his fortress"

Short facts

The fortress commander Colonel Johann Heinrich von Boblick began his service at Stolpen Fortress in the summer of 1725 at the age of 69.

He was to be the second of a total of five commanders who had to look after Stolpen's most prominent state prisoner, the Countess of Cosel. He and his wife lived in rooms in the Kaminzimmer, opposite the Countess's chambers in the Princely House. He had to experience first-hand how difficult it was to deal with her at times. This is not the only episode he can recount.
