Short adventures, quirky ideas, and big emotions: This year’s selection of Czech animated short films invites children, families, and anyone who loves to be amazed on a journey through imaginative worlds. What makes this selection special is that the films get by entirely without words, telling their stories solely through images, sounds, and music—making them accessible across language and national boundaries.
The films were created between 2020 and 2026 at the renowned film schools FAMU in Prague and Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. They are the work of students and graduates who use their creativity and a variety of animation techniques to create their own visual worlds.
In cooperation with KiKiLi – KinderKino at Lingner Castle, CINEFILA, and the Animation Studio at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín.
