Painting Party to Celebrate the 2026 Malerweg Anniversary

By the way: The Malerweg in Saxon Switzerland is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The painting party is a small, creative tribute to this special hiking trail.

Here’s how it works:

Everyone starts at the same time. You’ll have a blank canvas in front of you. First, you’ll apply a texture. After a short while, the canvas is passed on—the painting moves to the next person. Then you’ll add color for the background. After that, the canvas moves on. With each round, a new layer is added in this way. And the best part: At the end, you’ll take home a finished piece as a souvenir.

If the weather is nice, the event takes place outdoors; if it’s bad, it’s held indoors at the Heymannbaude.
