"Nordlichter" - Großenhain Community Orchestra, Inc.

Founded in 1956 by Johannes Gredy, the orchestra serves as a gathering place for music-loving amateurs and professionals from Großenhain and the surrounding area. The Großenhain Community Orchestra is an amateur symphony orchestra that has made the Kulturschloss Großenhain its home and is united by a love of music. The association consists of members of all ages, and its musical director is Uwe Zimmermann of the Landesbühnen Sachsen. For several years now, the ensemble has also been performing as part of a guest appearance on the Weesensteiner stage.
