Twelve-year-old Ranji dreams of starring in a Bollywood movie. His biggest role model is the star Amir Roshan. When he learns about a major casting call in Mumbai on Amir’s fan page, he decides to shoot an amazing audition video. But then his parents move him from India to Germany. In the gray metropolis of Berlin, Bollywood seems a world away, but Ranji doesn’t give up. In his neighborhood, he meets Toni, who’s the same age, and together they shoot Ranji’s audition video.
