Whether it’s “William Tell,” “Romeo and Juliet,” or “Faust”—Lene Voigt has adapted these literary classics into the Saxon dialect in a wonderfully funny and irreverent way. Tom Pauls interprets the texts of the “Saxon Nightingale” in his own unmistakable style. To complement this, the magnificent works of the world’s musical literature—from Gounod to Rossini, from Wagner to Prokofiev—will be performed.
