The musicians of the Erfurt ensemble come from a wide variety of musical backgrounds and blend their diverse influences into a harmonious whole. In this concert, the audience can expect a vibrant mosaic of sounds, rhythms, and melodies that reflects the traditions of Gypsy, Klezmer, Balkan, and world music in all their diversity. As a highlight, the band will present its song cycle based on the Jewish Treasure: Mysterious objects such as a tuning fork and a small silver box are featured in the performance. In addition, the song “Tojwle” allows the audience to immerse themselves in the spiritual atmosphere of a mikveh and be enchanted by the fascinating sounds.
