Breakfast with history: "From St. Petersburg to Madrid. Saxon diplomats on the European stage"
With the acquisition of the Polish crown in 1697, the Saxon Elector attempted to overcome the status of a German middle power and enhance his position in the European system of states. The union with Poland placed completely new demands on Saxon foreign policy and, within a few decades, gave rise to an extensive Saxon diplomatic network throughout Europe. But who were the Saxon diplomats? What were their tasks? And how did they move around the European courts?
The history breakfasts provide interested visitors with culinary and intellectual delights. We cordially invite all those "hungry for education"!
