Big Catch – Puppet Theater for the Whole Family
Griebrandt, the poorest of all robbers, lives in the snow-covered Grauwald. While he dreams of salted meat and pickled cucumbers, his rival Fitsch regularly snatches his loot right from under his nose. But on Christmas Eve, everything is finally going to change!
In fact, Griebrandt finds something completely unexpected: an overturned sleigh, twelve reindeer, and an injured man in a red coat. Suddenly, he—of all people—is supposed to stand in for Santa Claus. Handing out gifts instead of making off with loot? That’s pretty hard for a robber to swallow. But the children’s sparkling eyes make him think twice. Will he even be able to overcome his reservations when he stands before his arch-enemy’s cave?
The Landesbühnen Sachsen present a heartwarming winter tale about courage, generosity, and the joy of giving—for children ages 4 and up and the whole family.
The performance takes place as part of the Bad Schandau Winter Magic festival.
