With travel cancellation insurance, you can insure your booked trip before you start your holiday and with the holiday guarantee, you can protect yourself against trip interruption during your holiday.

By taking out travel cancellation insurance with HanseMerkur, you secure many advantages, including

In the event of no-show: We will reimburse you for any cancellation costs incurred if you have to cancel your trip for insured reasons such as an unexpected serious illness, vaccination intolerance, change of job, short-time working or pregnancy.
If you start your trip late: We will reimburse you for the additional outward journey costs and unused travel services (up to a maximum of the insured travel price) if you start your trip late for one of the insured reasons.
In the event of rebooking: We will reimburse you rebooking costs of up to 30 euros without giving reasons if you rebook your trip up to 42 days before the start of the trip. If you rebook your trip for one of the insured reasons, the rebooking costs will be reimbursed.
If you opt for travel cancellation insurance with a holiday guarantee (trip interruption insurance) and you have to cancel your trip within the first half of the trip (max. within the first 8 days), we will reimburse you the entire trip price. If the trip is cancelled in the second half of the trip (from the 9th day at the latest), we will reimburse you for any unused travel services.
