Unique experiences, organic cuisine and accommodation in various categories
The Bio- & Nationalpark Refugium Schmilka is a vacation and leisure retreat in the small, former shipping village of Schmilka. It is characterized by a 100% dedication to the organic concept.

It is a so-called "Alberghi Diffusi" (from the Italian: scattered hotel). Rooms, apartments, vacation homes and houses, the reception as well as restaurants, event venues and manufactories are not housed in a single building. Instead, they are spread throughout the village of Schmilka.

During the winter months from mid-November to mid-March, Schmilka is transformed into a winter village. The Mühlenhof becomes the central meeting point where guests can enjoy mulled wine by the campfire. The pool attendant invites you to jump into the heated hot tubs and enjoy a sauna infusion in the bathhouse. Delicious food is served in the Mühlenstube and the organic bakery smells of freshly baked bread. A cozy atmosphere is created by subdued lighting, shining Herrnhut stars and a crackling open fire. The Schmilka winter village offers a variety of experiences and wellness packages, known as "rituals".
