Holiday Hike for Kids: Learn to Hike with a Map and Compass.

On this year’s vacation trip, we’d like to introduce the children to hiking with a map and compass. Many people think a cell phone with a specific app is enough for getting out into nature, but that’s really not always the case. The kids will be given a sort of treasure map and will visit one checkpoint after another on their own—but under supervision—while learning how to use a real hiking map in a fun, playful way. So let’s let the kids lead the way through the forest. Of course, there’s plenty to discover, and it’ll be great fun for young and old alike. After the hike, the kids can enjoy a reward: soft-serve ice cream from Softeis-Dobra.

Please bring your own equipment: a compass, a colored pencil or regular pencil, a compass, and a ruler. Registration and participation in the tour for one or more children is only possible when accompanied by at least one adult.

The route, including breaks, is approximately 6.0 km and takes about 4.0 hours.
