3D photographer Stephan Schulz spent eight months traveling through New Zealand and the South Pacific. He hiked through rainforests, across icy glaciers, explored spectacular caves, and paddled along breathtaking coastlines. Using a helicopter, a drone, and a parachute, he also photographed New Zealand from the air. Underwater, he explored the sheer cliffs of the famous Milford Sound and had a breathtaking encounter with a sperm whale—the world’s largest predator.
In the South Pacific, he visited the wildlife paradises of the Subantarctic with their massive penguin colonies, elephant seals, and albatrosses. In Vanuatu, he documented the Naghol festival, where, in a death-defying tribal ritual, brave men plunge headfirst from a tall tower. And he stood on an active volcano from whose crater lava is spewed every few minutes.
