Starting at 2:00 p.m., visitors can enjoy a varied program for the whole family. Between Marktplatz, Marktstraße, Rosengasse, Basteiplatz, and the Elbe Promenade, shops will open their doors to showcase regional products, culinary specialties, and creative handicrafts, working together to create a lively atmosphere throughout the entire downtown area.

Look forward to live music, readings, art and cultural activities, hands-on activities for children, regional delicacies, and plenty of opportunities to linger and enjoy yourself. A colorful market scene featuring handmade products, ceramics, honey, and other regional offerings invites you to browse.

Highlights of the program include the summer concert by the Bad Schandau choir “Liederkranz,” church tours, an antiques and book flea market, creative hands-on activities for families, wine tastings, art presentations, and various musical performances throughout the city center.

Those who want to get to know Bad Schandau from a new perspective can take part in the themed city tours “A Stroll Through History (and Stories).” The historic passenger elevator will also be running until 10 p.m. on this day, offering an impressive view of the town and the surrounding landscape of Saxon Switzerland.
