Cabaret comedy with a homeopathic dose of politics.
Manja has a dream! Basic rights for animals! Self-determination for the woolly sheep! Freedom for the Frisian mink! And to live this dream, she has moved from the center of the city to the rural outskirts. She rides her cargo bike the 17 km to her workplace every day, brakes for every insect and is always on time.
Manja works at the zoo in the restaurant and experiences the ups and downs of emotions day after day. Her boss Ronnie is an ass... arm candy. No understanding for Manja's dream. Why do they keep the poor animals imprisoned in the zoo? The really nasty critters belong behind bars! The real estate shark who doesn't have an apartment for her. The official who refuses her a place in daycare.
Many people think Manja has a bird. That's right! A chicken. And her name is Hilde. Maybe that's how it all started. And maybe Sven can help her. The shy philosopher with the oat milk beard. Maybe the two of them can save the world, or at least the Frisian mink.
The academixer's wonderful fun for everyone who likes weird birds. Who enjoy comedy as well as cabaret in its most playful form. Who have an animalistic desire to laugh and enjoy the evening.
