A challenging trekking route for experienced and well-equipped hikers. It leads on the left bank of the Elbe in 7 stages through unique landscapes of the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland.

In April 2018, Sachsenforst and Lesy České republiky opened the over 100 km long trekking route. As forest administrations of the Free State of Saxony and the Czech Republic, we want to bring people closer to nature with the project.

The yellow-marked trekking route starts at Schöna station on the Elbe, follows mainly forest paths and trails on the left bank as well as forestry work paths through the extensive contiguous forests of Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland, crossing 13 mighty table mountains and ends in Bad Schandau - an authentic experience with options for forest overnight stays.

From April to October, visitors can hike here for several days cross-border and away from settlements through the forests along the border, accompanied by bizarre rock formations. Overnight stays are in trekking huts and on bivouac sites of Sachsenforst as well as with tourist partners.
