A high vantage point in the rear part of Saxon Switzerland with an unobstructed panoramic view.

Königsplatz is located in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, south of Hinterhermsdorf, at an altitude of around 436 meters. It marks the end of a rocky ridge above the Kirnitzschtal valley.

Access is via signposted hiking trails, either from Hinterhermsdorf or from the parking lot at the Buchenparkhalle. The routes run along forest paths, steps and narrow paths.

There is a bench carved into the rock and a railing at the viewpoint. The view extends across the wooded border area to the ridges of the Lusatian Mountains and Bohemian Switzerland.

The site is one of the historically documented viewing points in the national park. There are engraved dates of early visitors along the access path.
