A fairytale special exhibition about wintertime in the StadtMuseum Pirna
Under the motto "Fairytale Wintertime", the special winter exhibition will attract guests young and old to the StadtMuseum Pirna from 2 December 2023.
The exhibits include puppet figures from the DEFA animated films "Das Zauberschloss" (1974, director: Werner Krauße, set design: Klaus Eberhardt, puppets: Otto Gerd Müller) and "Die Weihnachtsgans Auguste" (1985, director: Günter Rätz, production design and puppets: Walter Rehn) from the estate of the DEFA animation studio. It is on loan from the German Institute for Animated Film (DIAF). Also on display are theatre puppets from the Puppentheater Bautzen, a puppet stage by Karla Wintermann, puppets by Martina Großer or a design by Gottfried Reinhardt. Curated by Gerburg Sturm, the family-friendly show is on view until 28 January 2024.
