DDR Museum Pirna

Short facts

Museum for an insight into life in the GDR

The DDR Museum opened its doors for the first time on 16 July 2005. On an area of over 700 m², you can gain an insight into life in the GDR. There are reports on the work of young pioneers, FDJ members, the NVA and the ABV, which was known to almost every member of the family. The GDR's radio technology is given a special place in the exhibition. For all literature enthusiasts, there is a small reading room where you can linger and browse through the exhibits on display. A new feature is the vehicle exhibition, which will make the hearts of car and motorbike fans beat faster. "Look, I know that one"
