Papststein (table mountain)

The Papststein is a 451 m high table mountain above Papstdorf in the municipality of Gohrisch. Two accessible access routes lead up to the plateau via steps and crevices.

There are several vantage points on the paths and summit with spectacular views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Photographers get their money's worth both at sunset and at sunset.

The Papststein mountain restaurant has been serving hikers since the 19th century. It is well worth a stop. The restaurant is open all year round.
