Johanniswacht viewpoint

Short facts

The Johanniswacht is a vantage point in the Bielatal valley.

The Johanniswacht is particularly recommended in winter. It offers an impressive panoramic view, especially of the striking rock formations on the opposite side of the valley, such as the Hercules Columns, which, with a little luck, are covered in a light blanket of snow. The view also extends to the left as far as Königstein Fortress, which is visible on the horizon. The Johanniswacht can be reached along the hiking trail with the "yellow dot" symbol.

Be careful, the cold winter air usually brings snow and slippery conditions, in these weather conditions it is advisable to hire ice skates - e.g. from the Bad Schandau tourist service.
