Smallest table mountain in Saxon Switzerland near Schöna

The Zirkelstein is the smallest table mountain in Saxon Switzerland. On a wooded conical hilltop is a small sandstone rock about 40 metres high. It owes its name to its circular appearance and was first mentioned as Circkelstein in 1592. From the summit of the 384.5 metre high mountain, the isolated location offers an extensive panoramic view. The slightly smaller Kaiserkrone is located in the immediate neighbourhood.
