Rathewalder Mill

Short facts

The Rathewalder Mill was built in 1794 as a habitable mill with a grinding train.

Because of the delicious catering, the mill also became widely known as the "Kuchenschänke" or "Bauernschänke". Later it was a people-owned business for holiday homes and today it is a beer garden with a small inn and accommodation. The highlight, by the way, is the mountain church, which nestles high up on the cliff.

At the Rathewalder Mühle, there is a stamp station of the hiking trail "Eisenach-Budapest".
