Historic castle grounds with botanical collections and changing flower displays of camellias, azaleas, hydrangeas and bonsai.
The most valuable plant collections from the 19th century form Saxony's green treasure trove here. In addition to the exhibitions in the park and greenhouses, there are several flower shows each year in baroque festival rooms or medieval vaults.
The palace is open for events and exhibitions. Particularly impressive is the winter bloom of the camellias, which is presented from March as the first splash of color after winter.
The flowering times: Camellias from March for about five weeks, azaleas in the last two weeks of April and on three weekends until May 1, hydrangeas in the last weeks of July and the first weeks of August. Bonsai, dwarf fruit and ivy can be seen from May to mid-October.
