Organic & National Park Refuge Schmilka

Short facts

Unique experiences, organic cuisine and accommodation in various categories

The Bio- & Nationalpark Refugium Schmilka is a vacation and leisure retreat in the small, former shipping village of Schmilka. It is characterized by a 100% dedication to the organic concept.

It is a so-called "Alberghi Diffusi" (from the Italian: scattered hotel). The rooms, apartments, vacation homes and houses, reception, restaurants, event venues and workshops are not housed in a single building. Instead, they are spread throughout the village of Schmilka.

During the winter months from mid-November to mid-March, Schmilka is transformed into a winter village. The Mühlenhof becomes the central meeting point where guests can enjoy mulled wine by the campfire. The pool attendant invites you to jump into the heated hot tubs and enjoy a sauna infusion in the bathhouse. Delicious meals are served in the Mühlenstube and the organic bakery smells of freshly baked bread. A cozy atmosphere is created by subdued lighting, shining Herrnhut stars and a crackling open fire. The Schmilka winter village offers a variety of experiences and wellness offers, known as "rituals".
