Historical re-enactment on the market square in Pirna with many actors in baroque costumes.
The lively Canaletto painting recreates the famous cityscape by Bernardo Bellotto, known as Canaletto, as a scene on Pirna's market square.
Numerous participants from Pirna and the surrounding area portray figures from the painting and bring the historical view to life for a moment. Costumes, props and the backdrop of the old town reflect the depiction in great detail. Visitors experience a calm, impressive spectacle that deliberately focuses on the effect of the moment.
The scene is repeated several times so that there is enough time to view the image from different perspectives.
