Legends, sandstone crushers and litter bearers between the rocks and the Elbe
Legends of mountain spirits, brave knights, simple farmers and unhappy loves entwine around the rocky landscape. But just as interesting are the true experiences from the hard lives of simple boatmen, master brewers and sandstone crushers. Stories tell of the glamorous world of hoteliers with grand visions and of the spa romances of the distinguished bathers who, inspired by painting, traveled along the Elbe on noble paddle steamers.
