An insider tip among the nature trails in Saxon Switzerland is the almost four-kilometre-long Buchenhain forest nature trail in the district of Markersbach. Accordingly, it is very quiet here most of the time. Families can fully immerse themselves in the forest, its sounds and inhabitants. On twelve panels, Sachsenforst explains, among other things, which of the animals and plants live in the forest and along the stream, which rules should be observed in the forest and what role forestry plays.
