Observation tower at a height of 425 m with a wide view over Neustadt in Sachsen and the neighboring low mountain ranges.
Visitors with a head for heights can climb the numerous steps of the iron spiral staircase to enjoy the breathtaking view. However, the effort is rewarded by the rewarding view.
The Götzinger Höhe was originally called Achtlindenberg. It was later renamed in honor of the local historian Wilhelm Leberecht Götzinger (1758-1818), who lived in Neustadt and was the first to describe the view and the entire surrounding area in detail.
Be careful, the chilly air usually brings snow and slippery conditions, so make sure you tread carefully, especially on the spiral staircase.
