Exhibition on forest history and the wolf in Saxony - in a striking wooden building in the forest experience area waldhusche ind Hinterhermsdorf.
A wooden building constructed from 16th century fir trunks stands in the middle of the Waldhusche. The impressive construction is itself part of the exhibition concept and provides a direct link to the region's forest history.
Inside, visitors can learn more about historical forestry work and the tools used for this. A separate area is dedicated to the wolf in Saxony and highlights its return to the local forests from a nature conservation perspective.
In addition to the exhibition, the building also offers space for environmental education events and public lectures. It is part of a comprehensive information and education offer in the national park.
A visit can be easily combined with a detour to the neighboring Beizehaus information point and a tour of the Waldhusche forest adventure area, which is open to the public.
