About Männel's Lutziges Puppentheater:
Someone put his talent for puppetry in his bassinet, as he has been making Punch and Judy dance on stage since he was a child. He sewed his first puppets at the age of 18, and his first play dates from this time: "Kasper, Teufel, Galgenstrick" and the first stage, built from aluminum tent poles, bamboo sticks and spray can spotlights. He has been a freelance puppeteer since November 1996. He makes all the puppets, props and stages himself, writes the texts and directs. The puppets speak High German, Upper Lusatian dialect, Saxon, Palatine, Swabian, North German or Berliners. There are puppets with Russian, English, French, Italian, Swiss and Bohemian accents.
