The program accompanying the special exhibition "Lohengrin made (in) Germany 1850 - 1936 - 2025" ends with a discussion concert on Richard Wagner's "Lohengrin".

In this collaborative event with the Staatstheater Meiningen, its outgoing General Music Director Killian Farrell and musicologist Tom Adler take a humorous and playful look at Wagner's work. Following highly acclaimed discussion concerts, including on Wagner's "Fairies" and "Tristan and Isolde", this is the fourth encounter between the two. Farrell will move to the Staatstheater Nürnberg as General Music Director at the start of the 2027/2028 season. At "Lohengrin's" inspiration and place of origin in Graupa, the charming duo wants to do justice to the 175th anniversary of the Weimar premiere and invite both newcomers to the Wagner universe and long-time Wagner fans to discover this extraordinary work for themselves.
