The St. Johanniskirche in Bad Schandau, located at Marktplatz 1, is the venue for the Bad Schandau Organ and Music Summer 2025. The church is easily accessible both by car and by public transport.
Arrival by car:
Bad Schandau can be reached via the B172 federal highway, which leads into the town from Pirna. The Bad Schandau Elbe bridge has been reopened to traffic weighing up to 7.5 tons since 10 April 2025. The bridge remains closed to cyclists and pedestrians. Paid parking is available near the St. Johanniskirche church. Please note that in good weather and at weekends, it is advisable to arrive early to secure a parking space.
Arrival by public transport:
Bad Schandau is well connected to the public transport network. The Bad Schandau National Park train station can be reached directly from Dresden and other towns in the Upper Elbe Valley by S-Bahn and regional trains operated by the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO), as well as by Deutsche Bahn's Eurocity connections. Buses and ferries run from the station, making it easy to travel on into the city. Please note that due to the closure of the Elbe bridge, bus services between the National Park railway station and the town of Bad Schandau are currently restricted. It is recommended that you check the current timetables before you arrive.
