Thomas Kaufmann in "Mein Freund, der betrunkene Sachse"An evening for Olaf Böhme
Olaf Böhme was one of Saxony's most popular cabaret artists. His character of the "Drunken Saxon" thrilled countless audiences. His "Steuererklärung" and "de Muddi" are unforgotten. But how did it all come about? Why does the "Saxon" wear a tie? How exactly did it work with Muddi? Does a cuckoo clock fit in a memory box and why don't lions cook with salt? On this evening, a fictional companion of Olaf Böhme provides the answers to such questions, which are still unanswered today. Even though they were not very close, the two met again and again over the years. Usually on a bench in the countryside, with a view over Dresden, over boiled eggs and Mettwurst sausage slices. He has a lot to tell, his companion: of many a misunderstanding, of arguments and reconciliation, of probabilities and puzzles, of fishing and cans. The fact that many a cherished story is dug out of the plastic bag and brought back on stage gives us hope that a smile or a laugh will roll through the room here and there to make this evening what it should be: An affectionate homage to Olaf Böhme - an enjoyable indulgence in memories and anecdotes; a commemoration, laughter and bowing. ...weeßte?
