"Sounds from Elbflorenz": The Dresden Philharmonic Children's Choir and Katarina Mills (piano) perform a multifaceted concert in St. Johanniskirche.

On Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:30 pm, the International Bad Schandau Music Summer invites you to a special concert in St. Johanniskirche. Under the title "Sounds from Elbflorenz", the Dresden Philharmonic Children's Choir under the direction of Gunter Berger, accompanied by Katarina Mills on the piano, will present a varied program.

The repertoire includes works by composers from different eras and cultures, including Henry Purcell, Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Claude Debussy and Gustav Mahler. The program is complemented by contemporary pieces by Esmeralda Conde Ruiz and Rainer Lischka as well as traditional melodies such as the American folk song "Shenandoah" and the Japanese "Hotaru koi".

The St. Johanniskirche, a historic building with impressive acoustics, provides the ideal setting for this concert. The combination of youthful choral voices, virtuoso piano playing and the special ambience of the church promises an unforgettable evening for all music lovers.

Tickets at a price of 10 euros are available from May 24, 2025 at the Evangelical Lutheran parish office in Bad Schandau and at the tourist information office. Remaining tickets can be purchased at the box office, which opens 30 minutes before the concert begins.
