A labyrinth of sandstone rocks

The rock town near the village of Tisá in the district of Ústí nad Labem, which is under nature protection, is called the Tysa Walls. This rock town is unique both in terms of area and variety of rock formations. The Tisá Walls form a labyrinth of sandstone rocks, with the rock needles rising up to 70 metres in height. The highest point of the Tyssa Walls is 613 metres. There are two marked circular routes for visitors through the so-called Small and Great Walls. It is forbidden to enter the rock town outside these marked paths. In the summer season, admission is charged.
