Imposing viewpoint in the Bielatal

This artificial bastion was built by the Rosenthal master builder J.G. Kaiser in 1880 in keeping with the taste of the times. The story of how it came about is a curiosity - the idea to build it is said to have originated from a beer-fuelled regulars' table bet! From the vantage point, you have a wonderful view of the Bielatal valley and the Hercules Columns, which are particularly attractive for rock climbers.
