Rammenau Baroque Palace

Short facts

Magnificently preserved manor house with unique interior design, surrounded by a charming landscaped park.

The only fully preserved manor house in Saxony is located at the foothills of the Lusatian Highlands, between Bautzen and Dresden. From the outside, it is a fairytale castle of modern times. Inside, the Chinese Room, Pompeian Room, Bird Room and Peacock Room impress with their late Baroque and early Classicist interior design. Behind the palace is an idyllic
small landscaped park in the English style.

You can spend a whole day at Rammenau Baroque Palace:
Since mid-2026, you can experience the permanent exhibition "Cowshed and Silver Plates". The everyday life of nobility and servants is vividly conveyed - not only in the castle, but also in the former cattle and horse stables and in the park. Immerse yourself in 300 years of castle history - from its construction to the GDR era.

In the castle café, you can take in what you have seen over a coffee or a light lunch. A walk through the park promises peace, relaxation and recreation.
